About Dr. Tijunelis
Dr. Aras Tijunelis was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago. He is a Board Certified General and Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon.
He is a cum laude graduate of Loyola University of Chicago and received his medical degree at Loyola’s Stritch School of Medicine. He completed five years of general surgery residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in 1988 and subsequently became board certified in General Surgery.
In 2000, Dr. Tijunelis completed his Cosmetic, Reconstructive, Hand and Microsurgery residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics-Madison. As part of his training, he studied at the Chicago Center for Surgery of the Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery and performed an externship in Cosmetic Surgery in Newport Beach, California.
Since starting Lake County Plastic Surgery in 2000, Dr. Tijunelis has been performing the full spectrum of cosmetic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, addressing clinical problems related to aesthetic rejuvenation and complex reconstruction.
