Our Staff
We have selected our staff with particular concern for efficiency and a warm, dedicated attitude. Please feel free to approach anyone on the staff if you have questions or concerns.
Kim:
Kim wears MANY hats at the office. First, you'll meet her as a patient coordinator. Once you've scheduled your surgery, you'll see her as your CERTIFIED REGISTERED NURSE ANESTHETIST (CRNA). As a nurse, her focus is all about patient care and advocacy. She specializes in OUTPATIENT SURGICAL ANESTHESIA, and as such, she is able to track QUALITY OF CARE consistenly. Kim is a member of the AANA (American Association of Nurse Ansethetists), a professional organization for more than 90% of the US CRNA's. CRNA's administer approximately 27 million anesthetics in the US each year. CRNA's practice as sole anesthesia providers in more than 2/3 of all rural hospitals. Their role in anesthesia in INVALUABLE!

Colleen:
Your personal contact at Lake County Plastic Surgery is Colleen. Colleen is a REGISTERED NURSE who functions as the office nurse extrordinaire. She will guide you through your initial appointment, your pre-operative check list appointment, and your recovery. As the RECOVERY ROOM NURSE, Colleen's familiar voice will literally greet you as you awake from anesthesia. Behind the scenes, Colleen manages the policies, procedures and materials of the operating room. Her efforts ensure the highest level of quality and sterility during all our surgical procedures.

Chris:
Chris is a REGISTERED NURSE. Chris works as a preoperative nurse making sure you are ready for your surgery and then as a circulating nurse in the operating room. The circulating nurse is responsible for managing the nursing care within the OR. She observes the surgical team from a broad perspective and assists the team to create and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for your surgery. Her goal is to ensure that each member of the surgical sterile team performs in a unified effort.

Jen:
As a CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST, Jen assists Dr. Tijunelis during your surgery. Surgical technologists work with all of the members of the operating team, to assist with operations. They are trained to maintain the sterile field in the OR, which requires monitoring all members of the team. The technologists prep the operating room by assembling equipment, setting out instruments and helping surgeons scrub in. Jen arranges the instruments before, during and after your surgery.

Beth:
When you call to schedule your appointment or surgery, you will be greeted by Beth's pleasant personality. As the SCHEDULE COORDINATOR / RECEPTIONIST, Beth will help you be seen as soon as possible. If you have any questions, you can always count on Beth to either answer them immediately or route the question the the right person. Since our office's accreditation as a AAAASF Surgical Facility, Beth is also our SAFETY OFFICER.
