Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is when a person has excessive sweating, which comes from overactive sweat glands. This condition can occur in different parts of the body, including under the arms and on the feet and palms of the hands. This condition can be a physiological condition or an inherited trait that prevents the body from being able to regulate its temperature.

There are injectables that many are familiar with for other uses, BOTOX®  can be used to treat hyperhidrosis. It is effective in stopping the chain reaction that leads to excessive sweat production.

How long will the treatment last?

The treatment for hyperhidrosis can last for up to six months. During that time frame, patients will experience much lower levels of sweat production. The treatment is most effective when it is repeated every four to six months.
